Grant Gustin’s character Sebastian Smythe has been written into the new series after there was speculation he wouldn’t be returning.
The lead singer of the Warblers has been confirmed by the show’s producers as being in season four.
Gustin joined the show last season as antagonistic Dalton Academy student Sebastian Smythe, who developed a crush on character Blaine and conspired against the New Directions.
Sebastian was referenced in the most recent episode aired, 'The Break Up', during a confrontation between Blaine and boyfriend Kurt.
Earlier on in the year Gustin told TV Guide that he was unsure about his future on the show, he said: "It's all up in the air right now; I have no idea what's next for him, to be honest."
He added: "They have an option on me, basically, if I am to be back next year, that's most likely what would happen. But they haven't asked me back yet, and I don't know if that's going to be the case."
It was recently suggested by co-creator Ryan Murphy that Bette Midler will appear on a future episode this season.
Season four is returning to our screens in November.
Glee's Lea and Cory are definitely more than friends these days...
