The fresh faces that are coming to Emmerdale include Bernice Blackstock's lover, a new father-daughter duo and an old acquaintance of Rhona Goskirk.
Rhonda’s wild friend from college Vanessa Woodfield who is described as a self-assured party girl will be the first to arrive, played by The Royal Actress Michelle Hardwick , will be the first to arrive and has been tipped to shake up life at the vets' surgery and not see eye to eye with Rhonda husband Paddy.
In a statement to TV Guide, Hardwick commented: "As a local girl and a fan of the show, Emmerdale is my dream job. After only two days, I am starting to feel at home already and Vanessa is such a fun character. I can't wait to see what's in store for her."
Later, Bernice's charismatic lover Steve Harland described as a passionate and optimistic man, will arrive, portrayed by Scottish-born actor Tom Mannion. Mannion talks about his excitement on starting life in the Dales, he said: "I'm really looking forward to the adventure that is Emmerdale."
Then last to arrive is father –daughter duo, mechanic Dominic Andrews and his wayward teenage daughter Gemma arrive still trying to come to life term with life being just them two.
Waking The Dead actor Will Johnson will play Dominic, with Gemma being played by 14-year-old Tendai Rinomhota. Johnson said: "I can't wait to get started. I am looking forward to an exciting journey. I've been told anything could happen with my character."
Emmerdale's series producer Stuart Blackburn added: "It's an exciting new season for Emmerdale and we are delighted to welcome Michelle, Tom, Wil and Tendai to the cast."
