Robbie Williams Admits He Couldn't Stay Faithful While On The Booze

The singer has been sober for a number of years

He was known as one of the biggest ladies' men in music but Robbie Williams has admitted he couldn't stay faithful to wife Ayda Field if he was still on the booze.

The 35-year-old singer, who recently welcomed his first daughter 'Teddy', has battled drink demons throughout his career.

Asked about staying away from other women after he gave up the bottle, the singer told Shortlist magazine: “It’s a hundred times easier when you don’t drink, and I don’t drink.

“If I drank, we’d literally be f*****. If I drank, I could not keep it in my trousers at all.”

Robbie, who releases new album Take The Crown next month, added: “I always have my wife with me. Always. I haven’t missed playing around but I’m still a guy.

“This will be an ongoing project. Feels unnatural – but so far, so good.”

Meanwhile, to coincide with the release of his new album, Williams will perform headline gigs at the London O2 Arena at the end of November.

The London stint will kick off on November 22, while a further two dates follow on November 23 and 24.
