This year’s X Factor has been anything but dull. So far there’s been ambulances, misbehaving contestants, several sore throats, and increasing tension between the judges – to name just a few! This years contestants have started a media frenzy with all the commotion surrounding the show, but all this drama is setting this year’s X Factor to be the best yet. Take a look at our gallery below to see the journey so far…

It’s no secret that tension has been flying high between judges Gary Barlow and Louis Walsh ever since Louis sent the first live results show to Deadlock, resulting in Gary’s act Carolynne Poole to be sent home and Gary storming off stage in fury that controversial Rylan Clark got to stay in the competition.

However, much to Gary’s dismay, Rylan is still going strong in the competition. It’s off the stage that seems to be the problem…

Rylan and fellow contestant Lucy Spraggan caused uproar when they were photographed last week falling all over the place whilst on a night out and show bosses were not impressed, kicking the misbehaving pair out of the 5 star Corinthia hotel where contestants have been staying.

Meanwhile, James Arthur had to be taken to hospital after his performance two weeks ago when he admitted to feeling ‘dizzy’ and thought he was ‘going to die’ after suffering from a panic attack.

The singer has also reportedly been flirting online with glamour model Jodie Marsh during the early hours of the morning.

Hmm.. Something to tell us, James?

Last night (October 23) the X Factor stars joined a number of celebrity guests at the world premiere of new Bond movie Skyfall.

The contestants could barely contain their excitement as they took to Twitter.

“Completely unreal SKYFALL premiere,” tweeted Rylan.

“Bond movie is SICK!!!!” added Jade Ellis to her Twitter fans.

It's not all fun and premieries, however, as Nicole's contestant Jahmene Douglas has been having a tough time recently ever since newspaper reports revealed his mum was a victim of domestic abuse.

Gary Barlow also criticised the nervous singer during Saturday (October 20) performance as he described his dancing as 'clumsy'.

Both Louis' acts have had a transformation since being on the show, with Triple J becoming Union J when their mentor decided to add solo singer George Shelley to the line-up.

Whereas GMD3 were told to change their band name by Sharon Osbourne to something more original as she thought it sounded like an STD. The result? The brand new District3!

However, Louis lost his urban act MK1 during last Sunday's (October 21) results show as they lost the public vote to Kye Sones.

Jade Ellis had a lucky escape from being in the final two last weekend as she suffered from a throat infection, however the mother-of-one pulled through and kept her place to next weeks live shows.

Meanwhile, Ella Henderson has topped bookies' votes as the favourite to win the show.

Phew! Like we said, a lot has been happening this year and we're sure there's still plenty to come..
