As the speculation surrounding Lindsay Lohan continues, it's now been revealed that the star's lawyers and manager did NOT work with Lindsay's father Michael to organise an alleged 'intervention', her spokesperson claims.
TMZ reported that Michael Lohan showed up at the actress' Beverly Hills home last Friday (October 19), after he apparently became concerned over the star's constant partying. The police were then called to the scene and reportedly asked Michael to leave his daughter's property.
However, the claims that he made at the time about L.Lo's 'team backing him up' have now been denied, according to her spokesperson.
An email correspondence that's been obtained by the website appeared to show Lindsay's lawyer Dave Feldman and her criminal defence lawyer Evan Hainey as 'both on board' with the intervention.
However, the star's rep Steve Hoing has since denied these claims. "It's apparent Michael continues to be very focused on getting publicity for himself.
Lindsay's team is in no way aligned with him or his actions," he told RadarOnline.
And following his failed intervention, Michael is now reportedly attempting to get a conservatorship for the 'Mean Girls' star. TMZ reports, Michael has told his legal team that the 26-year-old is substance abuser and is surrounding herself with “the wrong” people and wants a court to appoint a conservator to run her finances.
Though, the website claims, Michael doesn't want to be appointed conservator himself, as he fears accusations of money grabbing, he will try to convince them that rehab is the only option for his daughter.
The hardpartying star has been to rehab several times but Michael reportedly believes due to outside influences, “she went in dirty and didn't come out clean.”
While Michael might claim to have his daughter's best interests at heart, Lilo reportedly doesn't agree. Following the attempted intervention on Friday, the red head is said to be convinced a protection order against him is the only way to get on with her life.
The actress is said to be fuming over the failed intervention and will fly to New York this week to discuss with the rest of her family what to do about her father. The argument comes after a drama filled few weeks for Lindsay.
What do you think? Should Michael intervene in his daughter's life?
