MK1's Charlie has spoken out about her exit from the X Factor along with bandmate Sim, claiming that she's glad that they were voted out.
Last night's show saw MK1 and Kye Sones in the bottom two and after each act performed, it was up to the judges to decide who to send home. For the third week in a row, the decision went to deadldock after Nicole Scherzinger and Gary Barlow saved Kye and Louis Walsh and Tulisa Contostavlos saved MK1. As a result, MK1's X Factor journey ended after receiving the least amount of votes.
Speaking about their elimination the morning after, Charlie, 19, told Entertainmentwise's Georgie: "It was disheartening but in a way, I'm quite glad we've left now because it means as an urban act, we're not going to be shaped and moulded anymore into a commercial product for the X Factor."
She added: "So now we can go and be exactly who we want to be."
Whilst Charlie and Sim might have been happy to leave, Tulisa wasn't, saying on the Xtra Factor:
"It was really emotional for me tonight. I was being sent spiritual signs left right and centre. They sang Man Who Can't Be Moved which is one of the only N-Dubz covers that we do on our tours.
"From the second I saw them they reminded me of N-Dubz and the bond they have reminds me of me and Dappy."
