The X Factor slipped slightly again in the ratings last night, giving Strictly Come Dancing a bigger lead.
The BBC dance show's viewing figures were pretty much static week-on-week, with a huge average of 9.9 million tuned in to see Denise Van Outen, Louis Smith and Kimberley Walsh impress the judges.
The X Factor dipped to 8.6 million, including figures from ITV1+1, peaking at 9.6 million. Strictly's peak was a massive 11.3 million.
Simon Cowell's talent juggernaught is still one of the most-watched shows on TV by some distance, but with figures considerably lower than last year, bosses will be desperate to figure out how to bring them back on track in 2013.
The show has typically been faring better on Sundays, but recently has lost its most-watched crown to Downton Abbey.
