Is Britney Spears' Ex Justin Timberlake To Blame For Her 'Mental Breakdown' And 'Drug Addiction'?

New reports claim that Britney 'became depressed' following the split...

Britney Spears' 'mental breakdown' has been talked about a fair bit recently, and as her so-called "former manager"s lawsuit against her is now well underway, new reports have been released that blame Brit's teen boyfriend Justin Timberlake for the whole thing. Surely not?

The popstars dated back in 2002 and it was this split that led to the 'Slave 4 U' star's mental breakdown, with her apparently becoming 'angered and depressed' about the whole thing. The singer turned X Factor USA judge has been accused of being a heavy drug user during her highly publicised breakdown, by the lawyer representing Osama ‘Sam’ Lufti.

In court on Thursday (October 18), where Lufti is suing the star’s mother and father for defamation as well as Britney for breach of contract, the court heard Lufti’s attorney Joseph Schleimer say: “She liked to use amphetamines."

According to the BBC, Lufti is suing Britney’s mother Lynne Spears for defaming him in her book 'Through The Storm: A Real Story of Fame and Family in a Tabloid World'. He also accuses Britney’s father, Jamie Spears, of punching him. Mostly everything that went wrong was because of this drug, reports the MailOnline.

Schleimer claimed that his client had been made the “scapegoat” to cover up Britney’s alleged use of drugs, including speed, and her breakdown. The accusations stem from the years that Lufti acted as Britney’s manager, a position which he lost in 2008. Ooo-er!

He claimed she was once hooked on prescription drugs, downing up to 30 a day, and was in such a grip of addiction she shaved her head to beat a drugs test.

But surely Justin Timberlake can't be blamed for ALL of this? Can he?
