If the American Idol bosses thought they were over the worst with their judges, they may want to think again following the claims that Keith Urban is now threatening to leave the show.
According to the National Enquirer, Keith, who is married to Hollywood starlet Nicole Kidman, expressed his upset over Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey's feud that rocked the entertainment world earlier this month.
The publication quoted the country music star as saying: "They don’t pay me enough to have to deal with this crap.
“Keith knew there’d be friction between the two women, but had no idea how vicious and threatening it would become.
“What makes him uncomfortable is the level the animosity has escalated to – and where it could go from here. And his wife, Nicole Kidman, is concerned as well.”
Meanwhile, American Idol boss Nigel Lythgoe slammed the claims that Mariah and Nicki's war of words was for ratings. Talking to TMZ, the TV mogul said:
"I have no idea why I would be doing it [for ratings] five months before the show went out. I would only do ANYTHING for ratings a month before the show went out. They've got my timing wrong."
Lythgoe also insisted that everything was fine between Nicki and Maria after their argument. He added: "They (Nicki and Mariah) were amicable that afternoon. I think before anyone makes any judgements, they should watch the show."
