Scottish singer Melanie Masson was the second to be eliminated from The X Factor competition last weekend after deadlock results sent her home. However, it's unlikely her career will be ending just yet as X Factor judge Nicole Scherzinger has offered to help Melanie with the launch of her singing career and believes she could become an international star.
It seems judges are queuing up to help with the take-off of Melanie Masson's career after she was booted out of the singing competition last weekend (October 15).
Not only has mentor and head judge Gary Barlow offered to write songs for the Scot, now Nicole Scherzinger wants to help the 44-year-old launch a career over in the United States, where the 'Don't Hold Your Breath' star believes there is a market for Melanie and her powerful voice.
A source told The Sun: “Nicole got on stage to ask for a word with Melanie as soon as the results show ended. She spoke to her for ten minutes, telling her she thought her voice was amazing.
“Nicole said she was sure there would be a market for her songs in America and she was dying to take her out there.”
The singer was of course thrilled with the offer as the source added: “Melanie accepted on the spot.”
Melanie was eliminated from the second weekend of live shows of the competition after judges sent results to deadlock again. Melanie and boyband District 3 were in the bottom two and after receiving the fewest public votes, Melanie was sent home.
However, we doubt this is the last we'll see of the singer.
Last week the Daily Record quoted Melanie saying of her mentor Gary: “He told me he’d kill to write a song for me. He’s been such a fan of mine since day one, I’m so lucky to have him as a continued mentor.
“He loves my voice and says he’ll write me a hit record.”
