This time last year Caroline Flack had just embarked on a relationship with One Direction's Harry Styles, who being only 17 at the time, was 15 years younger than the pretty star, leading to abuse from fans and a label of 'cougar' that she still carries.
But according to Tulisa, who claims to be close to both stars, their was nothing “creepy” about the relationship and that they were perfectly suited to each other. “I've had them both in my house at the same time and I've spent time apart with them as well,” she told We Love Pop.
"Harry is a very mature, charming young man, and he has enough intelligence to maintain a relationship with a slightly older woman.”
She added: "Caroline is a very sensitive, fun, young-at-heart person. The combination of the two made complete sense to me. If you know them, there was nothing creepy about it."
But the public didn't see it the same way and were outraged that the Xtra Factor presenter was dating someone who was still legally considered a child. Caroline at the time was filming X Factor with Tulisa and the N Dubz star confessed she talked through the situation with the blonde and got quite “wound up” about it.
"I did sit down and have a few chats with her on BBM," she revealed.
"That situation wound me up quite a bit actually. People are so judgemental.”
Referring to Caroline, Tulisa insisted: “She is one of the loveliest people I know, she has such a good heart and if people knew what she was like as a person they’d know it was nothing like how some people have made out – y’know, all cougar-ish and creepy. It's not that at all."
Since Harry has been linked to a string of women, though maintains he is still on good terms with the 32 year-old presenter.
