Nicki Minaj And Mariah Carey 'Will Sort Out' American Idol Feud, Claims US President

Barack Obama weighs in on their feud that took place earlier this month

Their recent  feud on American Idol rocked the entertainment world. However it appears that it even got as far as the White House after the President of the United States, Barack Obama weighed in on the feud.

Having called into Michael Yo's radio show, "The Yo Show," Obama who is busy on the campaign trail for the Presidential elections, decided to give his verdict on the war of words that broke out between Nicki and Mariah during the auditions stage.

Taking a positive view on whether or not Nicki and Mariah will be able to forgive and forget their argument, Obama said:

"I think that they are going to be able to sort it out, I am confident. I'm all about bringing people together, working for the same cause, I think both outstanding artists are going to be able to make sure that they're moving forward and not going backwards."

Despite remaining impartial, the President was asked who his favourite was between Mariah and Nicki. Responding, Obama said:

"Mariah, she's actually done some events for us. I've gotten to know her and Nick (Cannon), she's a wonderful lady. Nicki I don't know, but I've got her on my iPod."
