X Factor host Dermot O'Leary may have had to apologise for it but axed finalist Melanie Masson has admitted that she "loved" being called a 'MILF'.
Reacting to the comments made by judge Tulisa after her performance on Saturday night, Melanie, who became the second finalist to leave the competition through deadlock, told Entertainmentwise's Georgie Barrat:
"I loved it! As a 44 year-old mum of two, I was very happy to be called a MILF. I was quite grateful. I was like, 'wow, thank you!'.
"I didn't expect it but I'll take that thanks."
Whilst Melanie might have enjoyed being called a MILF, the show's bosses weren't taking any risks in case people complained. However, it appears they didn't need to worry.
Having seen Dermot O'Leary apologise for Tulisa's use of the word, which is an acronym for 'Mother I'd like to f****', fans soon took to Twitter to tweet their dismay at the apology.
One fan wrote: "I cannot believe Tulisa isn't allowed to say MILF at 10.30pm. Has the world gone mad?"
Realising that they may have been a bit too cautious, The Sun reported a show insider admitting:
"Tulisa said MILF at 10.30 and that's not allowed? What?”
