She may have been elated about her performance on Strictly Come Dancing on Saturday night but it appears fans of the show didn't share her happiness as they took to Twitter to claim that she had an unfair advantage over her fellow celebrities.
Despite suffering an injury during rehearsals, the star and her professional dance partner, James Jordan did well and impressed judges, Len Goodman, Bruno Tonioli, Darcey Bussell and Craig Revel Horwood, with their jive performance which resulted in the pair scoring 32 out of a possible 40.
Whilst Denise and James celebrated, Twitterverse conversed about Denise's dancing past as fashion journalist Hilary Alexander commented: "Fantastic jive from James and Denise – and so it should be! She’s had plenty of West End experience."
One SCD tweeted: "Nobody should be getting all eights, so unfair on the other contestants for Denise to be in Strictly."
Commenting on the experience that some of his fellow celebrities have had, the Daily Mail reported Johnny Ball, who was the first celebrity to be voted off, commenting:
"All actors and actresses have done stage school which includes dance and movement. It’s sad that the judges can’t take that into consideration."
However a spokesperson for the show insisted that Denise does not have an advantage on the show because she hasn't had any Latin or ballroom dance training.
Denise impresses on SCD!
