Russell Crowe has been spotted out in New York City looking a little hairy and run down, following news that he has separated from wife of nine years Danielle Spencer.
The break up was confirmed to Australian media yesterday by her father Don Spencer, to TV station Ten Network according to Reuters with the main priority said to be their two children, Charles and Tennyson.
The 'Gladiator' star didn't appear to have a care in the world as the usually, media shy actor, smiled for the cameras in the Big Apple.There was no hint of the break up from Crowe as he took to Twitter to speak about the Indoor Garden Party he was co-hosting with pal Alan Doyle at the Gramercy Theatre in New York on Saturday night.
Hours before news broke of the split he tweeted: "yesterday 11.6km bike ride to work, 30 mins (minutes) yoga, light weights today so far 14.5 km stat bike, 20 mins light weights."

The split was confirmed by the Sydney Morning Herald on Saturday, (Oct 13) and came as a shock to those close to the couple, who had seen them as one of the strongest in the industry.
Credited with taming the at times wild actor, Danielle once said of the Oscar winner's fame, “all that stuff has nothing to do with me as a person.”
Meanwhile his now estranged wife Danielle was spotted out in Sydney, Australia enjoying lunch with a friend.
