This Week's New Singles & Albums: Calvin Harris, Leona Lewis, More

Find out what you can get your hands on this week

It's a blockbuster week for new single and album releases, with Conor Maynard, Calvin Harris, Lawson, Rebecca Ferguson and Leona Lewis all offering up their latest material.

With Swedish House Mafia expected to top the Singles Chart later today and Mumford and Sons due to pip Ellie Goulding in the Albums rundown, we're intrigued to see how this new crop of music will fare in seven days' time.

SINGLES

Lawson - 'Standing In The Dark'
Written about Andy Brown's ex Mollie King, 'Standing In The Dark' is another pop-rock super-tune for the relatively new four-piece, but with a slightly more ballad-like feel about it than 'When She Was Mine' and 'Taking Over Me'. Hopefully it will give the lads their third Top 10 hit.

Calvin Harris ft. Florence Welch - 'Sweet Nothing'
It's been ten minutes since Calvin's last chart-topper, so the time must have come for him to log another one! His second collabo with Florence 'and the Machine' Welch is a surefire Top 3 hit, and we think it could even make a serious challenge for the top spot.

Rebecca Ferguson - 'Backtrack'
With a punchy piano hook and some catchy "ooh-ooh-ooh" backing vocals, 'Backtrack' adds another string to Rebecca Ferguson's catchy bow. She's not a big singles seller, but this new tune should at least push the deluxe edition of her album Heaven to the upper end of the charts. And hey, with a performance on tonight's X Factor on the cards, she could be looking at her first hit single since 'Nothing's Real But Love'.

ALBUMS

Leona Lewis - Glassheart
Almost a whole year after its original release date, Leona finally brings out her third studio album. Glassheart is packed with pop music much darker and 'on trend' than Spirit and Echo, but can it deliver the same massive sales figures? We'll have to wait and see.

Rebecca Ferguson - Heaven (Deluxe Edition)
Despite its lack of big hit singles, Heaven has sold over 500,000 copies and was certified Platinum within two weeks of its release. R-Fergz is back on The X Factor tonight, so expect this to be a hit in next week's charts.
