Lady Gaga may have some VERY weird little monsters in her fanbase - one even created a doll-sized reconstruction of her infamous meat dress - but she's just as obsessed when it comes to her idol, French singer Edith Piaf.
So much so that, according to The Sun's sources, she even wants to buy the singger's toenail clippings.
"She’s eyeing up clothes, shoes, perfume bottles, private letters and, most baffling of all, she’s even inquired about purchasing the star’s toenail clippings."
Now THAT is totally Gaga!
However, in a far more sensible purchase, the 'Born This Way' singer is currently in talks with the Piaf estate to purchase the rights to nine of her idol's songs:
“Gaga sees a lot of herself in Edith. She, too, was a rebellious character in her era."
“There’s an awful lot of red tape to get through — it’s a complicated process. But she’s hoping the Piaf estate want to ensure, with her help, that the music can be introduced to a new audience."
“Considering the size of Gaga’s global following, Edith’s music will gain a huge new fanbase.”

We hope that Lady Gaga wins that battle - it would be amazing to hear the star tackle those notes!
