Following a controversial sing-off decision last Sunday, X Factor contestant Rylan Clark explained that this week he would be focusing on his vocals for the competition in an attempt to win over his critics.
But now it appears that the Essex boy will be performing a mash-up this evening – including the hit single Gangnam Style, originally by South Korean rapper Psy.
We can't help but think that the song – famed for it's eccentric dance routine – is not the best choice for Rylan to show off his supposedly polished vocals.
Speaking to ITV.com Rylan said: “I am really, really looking forward to this one"
“My song for this week is a mixture of a couple of songs, a little Rylan medley. I think it’s going to be one you will remember.”
Unrealitytv.co.uk suggest Rylan's medley could include Gangnam Style!
Rylan insists that he wants to be taken seriously, in spite of his up-tempo dance tracks and bizarre outfits.
He said: ““I am taking this seriously, I don’t want to be billed as a joke act. I like to have fun, I like to put on a show but I am serious about the music. I am really, really serious about doing dance tracks.”
Do you think performing Gangnam Style will be Rylan's best chance of staying in the competition for another week?
