The world was shocked when Danny DeVito and Rhea Perlman confirmed they were divorcing after 30 years of marriage as they were thought to be one of Hollywood’s strongest unions, but now reports are claiming the relationship has been in trouble for quite some time.
Rumours of DeVito’s infidelity quickly spread after the news broke but now a former crew member who worked with the 'Twins' star on 1993’s ‘Hoffa’ has claimed he romanced a young extra on set with promises of making her a big star.
"It was kind of pathetic because she was very young and beautiful and obviously just having sex with him in hopes that he'd make her a star," the insider anonymously told Radar Online.
"Danny would have his limo driver drive them all over the city and they'd canoodle in the back before going back to his room together."
Apparently the cast and crew were aware of this and their thoughts were with his wife and mother of his three children.
"I felt bad for Rhea, and I felt bad for the girl, too, because she was just a naïve kid from Pittsburgh," the source said.
"It was sad to see her pretending to really like him when really it was just because of who he was. And worse, Danny preying on vulnerable young girls like that."
DeVito’s rep had a simple response to the allegations: "No name, no comment."
