Leona Lewis has revealed that she has to ensure all her windows are locked before she goes to bed, because she is scared that she will walk out of one of them in her sleep.

The former X Factor champion explained that she's woken up in some weird situations in the past as a result of her subconcious night-time adventures.

"I get up and basically I'll do strange things like put my phone in my fridge, or put something where it's not supposed to be," Contact Music quotes her as saying.

"And I just won't remember doing it. It's usually at times when I'm really stressed out. I have a balcony, so I have to make sure my windows are locked."

But sleeping isn't all horror for the 'Trouble' singer, who added that she often gets inspiration for songs from her dreams.

"I usually dream of melodies. When I wake up I have them in my head. I usually come up with things in the middle of the night because that's when my mind is the quietest," she said.

"I always have my tape recorder, pen and pad by my bed just in case."

Leona's new album Glassheart is out on Monday.
