The Duchess of Cambridge was greeted by hundreds of spectators in Newcastle today (October 10) but, despite all the people around her, she admitted that she was missing her husband.

Margaret Southam from Gosforth, Newcastle revealed to STV that Kate was a little sad that William couldn't join her on the visit:
"I told her we wanted to see William and were sad he could not be here, and she said 'I'm missing him too'."
Prince William, of course, was unable to attend the visit as he was at the funeral of his beloved former nanny Olga Powell.
However, despite flying solo, Kate refused to show her nerves and wowed the Newcastle crowds - one little boy even got a hug from the royal fashionista!
We hope the hug helped cheer her up - she'll be back with William soon enough.
