Talented actor and director Ben Affleck recently revealed in an interview that, despite appearances, tackling the dual roles of cast and crew is easier than it seems - in fact, it's as simple as... masturbation?
Ben Affleck, in the midst of promoting his newest film Argo, appeared on the Late Night With Jimmy Fallon show this week and, while talking about the difficulties of directing and acting in the movie, he made a VERY interesting comparison.
“It’s a little bit like masturbation, Jimmy."
Colour us intrigued.
So... how is directing yourself in a movie similar to masturbation then, Ben Afleck? Is it to do with the fact that, by performing in a certain way, you are gratifying yourself as the director?
"You gotta know what you want. You know what I mean? Where you're going. It’s intuitive.”
We were very close!
Dirty jokes aside, we're very excited to see 'Argo' when it hits cinemas later this year. The Ben Affleck film is a political thriller, based on Tony Mendez's account of the rescue of six U.S. diplomats from Tehran, Iran during the 1979 Iran hostage crisis.
