Justin Lee Collins has been found guilty of harassing ex girlfriend Ms Anna Larke at St Albans Crown Court today. (October 9)
Collins, 38, of Kew London has been convicted of harassment causing fear of violence between January and July 2011, according to the BBC. He was reportedly sentenced to 140 hours of community service for the crime.
During the trial shocking allegations were made against the comedian including him keeping a record of his partner's former lovers and claims that he had twice hit her during their nine month relationship.
Ms Larke told the court during her testimony: "He wanted a full sexual history of me. He wanted all the details and wanted to write it all down.
"He wanted to know every single person I had slept with or had an encounter with. He said it was for clarity so he could get to grips with my past.
"I felt absolutely horrible and disgusted. I was really scared. I thought I was going to lose him. He said: 'If you don't do it you will lose me'."
The comedian denied all charges, claiming to have never hit Mr Larke, but “tapped her lightly” to calm her down during, what he referred to as “episodes”.
The defence team labelled Ms Lark a compulsive liar.
The jury took three days to come to a verdict, with the judge in the case telling them this morning giving them a majority verdict direction, needing only 10 out of the 11 jurors to agree on a verdict.
