Blur's comeback will continue in earnest next year after they were confirmed as the headline act at the Primavera Sound music festival in Spain and Portugal.
The concerts in May and June will be the band's only live performances of 2013 following the release of deluxe box set Blur: 21 – a compilation of all seven Blur albums – over the summer.
The band reformed in July 2009 for a performance in Hyde Park. They have since performed a string of gigs, including a memorable performance at the Olympics Closing Ceremony.
Earlier this year they famously hit the headlines at the Brits after host James Corden cut Adele's best album acceptance speech short to make way for a live performance from the band, who were at the event to collect a lifetime achievement award.
