Robin Williams could be set for a surprise role in the third season of Homeland after series producers discovered he is a huge fan of the hit US drama.
The first episode of season two aired to rave reviews on Channel 4 yesterday evening (October 7t), and show creators Howard Gordon and Alex Gansa are already developing ideas for the third season – including the possibility of writing a role especially for the American funnyman.
“Robin loves the show and we talked about the possibility of him appearing on it,” Gordon told Daily Mail Weekend magazine.
“How that'll pan out, though, we don't know yet. We heard Mick Jagger is a fan too.”
Despite his maniacal brand of humour, Williams has developed a reputation for serious roles over recent years, including a starring role in psychological thriller One Hour Photo. His first TV role came in early 80's comedy Mork & Mindy.
