'Batman' star Christian Bale has reportedly rejoined the cast of 'The Fighter' director David O. Russell's new movie 'American B******t', joining a host of stars in the cast.
It had been reported that Jeremy Renner had been brought in to replace the actor, who enjoyed great success this year in Christopher Nolan's 'The Dark Knight Rises', but it seems that the pair will star alongside each other, as well as Bradley Cooper and Amy Adams in the project.
According to The Wrap, the producers of the film announced that the actors will all star in 'The Untitled David O. Russell Project', as the film is officially known, although it was at one time believed to be tentatively going under the name of 'American B******t'.
Russell is also writing the film’s screenplay with Eric Warren Singer, basing their collaboration on Singer’s original script.

According to the website, producer Charles Roven said:“David has put together an incredible ensemble of actors for what is going to be a powerful and emotional drama about one of the most memorable cast of characters in recent history.”
Getting Bale on board is a coup, as the last time he and Russell teamed up, it ended up in Oscar recognition for the actor.
The film follows a con-artist (Bale)and his partner in crime (Adams) who team up with a maverick Federal Agent (Cooper) to turn the tables on mafiosi and other con-artists. Renner stars as a volatile politician and local hero in New Jersey.
