The X Factor was branded a "disgrace" by fans on Twitter last night after Louis Walsh sent the decision to send home either Rylan Clark or Carolynne Poole home, into deadlock.
With Gary Barlow, Nicole Scherzinger and Tulisa Contostavlos all making their decisions in a good amount of time with Tulisa and Gary choosing to save Carolynne and Nicole saving Rylan, it was left up to Louis to make the final decision. However, after much deliberation, the veteran judge sent it to deadlock.
Angered by the decision which saw Carolynne Poole leave the show, one fan tweeted: "I am still fumin over x-factor last night an really wanna know who the man talkin to louie was an how he was allowed to take it 2 deadlock? (sic)", whilst another added:
"I thought X-Factor was a disgrace last night! It should never have gone to deadlock and I don't blame Gary Barlow for walking off stage!"

Directly tweeting Gary, one fan wrote: "@GBarlowOfficial what a disgrace X-Factor went deadlock last night, Caroline definitely didn't deserve to go home after all she can sing!"
In fact, one fan decided to tweet X Factor boss Simon Cowell, posting: "@SimonCowell you need to get involved with the x factor and getrylan out and bring carolyn back!! RYLAN CAN'T SING! (sic)", whilst another added:
"X-Factor deadlock last night was so stupid. Louis clearly said he wanted Carolynne to stay, she even celebrated, so why the need to clarify?"
However, last night also stirred up support for Rylan, as one fan wrote: "People should stop complaining about the X Factor. Louis put it to dead lock but Rylan still got the most votes. #ProudOfRylan"
Happy that Rylan had kept his place on the show for another week, one fan tweeted: "I'm happy Rylan got thru on @TheXFactor we all know the show is not looking for the best singer. all about the X Factor. He's something", whilst another made the comment:
"Mental how mad some people are going over Rylan being on the XFactor! It's only a show simmer yourselves right down! hahaha"
Slamming the reports that have come out today that the Louis was told to go into deadlock, an X Factor spokesperson told us: "Carolynne had the least amount of public votes so the public's choice to stay in the show was Rylan.
"Producers always chat to Judges during the show."
Louis explained: "I was torn. I think Rylan's a great entertainer and Carolynne's a great singer.
"I couldn't make up my mind. So, finally, I decided that the fairest thing to do was to go to the public vote and Rylan had more votes than Carolynne. It was sad but it was the fairest option."
