One Direction’s Niall Horan left the X Factor studio on crutches and the injury he has was allegedly caused by nothing other than a furry squirrel!
The 'Live While Were Young' singer has undergone an operation to fix torn ligaments in his knee.
In an interview with Capital FM this week, he said: “A squirrel attacked me. I got attacked by a squirrel in Battersea Park. They’re dangerous. It’s rare.
“I’ve torn most of the ligaments in my knee. So no football for me. It’s early retirement now. I’ve got a floating knee-cap!”
However, the singer managed to take to the stage during last night’s X Factor live finals without walking aids, alongside his other four band mates.
Trust Niall to get an injury! We hope your knee mends quickly Niall.
