One Direction are used to be attacked by wild fans but poor Niall Horan has revealed he had a run in with a different breed of wildlife- a crazy squirrel!
The Irish charmer was forced to undergo an operation recently after a painful ligament injury. When asked about the accident on the Capital Breakfast Show, Niall told hosts Dave Berry and Lisa Snowdon that a wild-eyed rodent was to blame!
''Yeah a squirrel attacked me. So, I got attacked by a squirrel in Battersea Park. They're dangerous. It's rare. I've torn most of the ligaments in my knee."
Niall didn't actually give any more details so we're still scratching our heads as to how a squirrel caused such an injury- did he challenge the boy bander to a 'LWWY' dance off?

Unfortunately for Niall his accident has forced him to give up a second flourishing career:
"So no football for me. It's early retirement now. I've got a floating knee-cap!''

Poor Niall doesn't even have a kind hearted lady friend to help him get over the trauma. The 19 year-old opened up recently about his single status telling Fabulous magazine: “I'm still single,”
“Not necessarily looking, but obviously if the right person came along.... I'm so lazy, that when we're off I just want to sleep, I just like to chill, do nothing and sit on the couch for the weekend.”
Well we're surea bit of couch sitting and chilling is what you need right now Mr Horan- doctor's orders.
