Moviegoers are lapping up their latest dose of Liam Neeson, as 'Taken 2' soars to a predicted $45 million debut at the US Box Office.
The first film in the franchise, which opened in 2009, was a quieter box office hit. It debuted to $24.7 million but went on to rake in a giant $226.8 million around the world.

The weekend's other big new releases are faring OK. Tim Burton's 'Frankenweenie' and musical comedy 'Pitch Perfect' are expected to gross in the low- to mid-teens this weekend, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Both will likely be beaten by last weekend's No1, 'Hotel Transylvania', starring Adam Sandler and Selena Gomez.
Maggie Grace and Famke Janssen join Neeson in 'Taken 2' as his daughter and ex-wife.
The story is set in Istanbul, and this time it's Janssen's character is kidnapped.
