The first poster for the upcoming action blockbuster Jack Reacher, starring Tom Cruise, has been revealed.
The film, which is adapted from a series of books by author Lee Child, will star the recently divorced actor as the titular tough guy, Jack Reacher.
It will also star Rosamund Pike (Pride and Prejudice, An Education), Robert Duvall (The Godfather, Apocalypse Now) and legendary director Werner Herzog.
Speaking about the film to Empire, Cruise said "Reacher is such a great character. He doesn't have a cell phone, he doesn't have email. He's off the grid. He pays for things in cash.
"People look at things through the prism of the colours of their life, but Jack Reacher does things the way we want to sometimes. In that sense he's sort of a Dirty Harry, a James Bond, a Josey Wales."
The poster is an extreme closeup of Cruise bathed in gold light, with a smouldering look and a wound on his face.
