His reaction to Nicole Scherzinger's decision to put him through to the X Factor live finals caused a bit of a Twitter frenzy, with many tweeting it was the funniest thing they'd ever seen.
However, the reasons behind his reaction weren't as funny as the Essex native revealed to Heat that his over emotional-sobbing at the feet of Nicole reaction was due to being hungover and the temperature of the climate in Dubai, where Nicole was holding her judges house round.
Speaking to Lorraine Kelly this morning, the finalist, who was spotted parading about in a bright blue onesie this week, admitted:
"I was just so hot, it was fifty degrees out there and I was a bit hungover and it all hit me…it just all came out."

Joking about how he may have come across, Rylan who is in the Boys category with Jahmene Douglas and James Arthur, added: "Apparently I looked like Jimmy Hill and Kylie’s love child."
The finalist, who has been the target of Twitter trolls, was commended by the show's creative director, Brian Friedman who said:
"I was really surprised by all the contestants. Some of them I thought were going to be a lot more introverted than they actually were, others surprised me with how little stage process they have.
“I can say that I loved the process with Rylan. It was funny because he says he can move and it’s different when you actually put someone to the test. In our first meeting he said, ‘Oh I can dance, I can do everything’ and I was like, ‘OK, we’ll see,’ but he did really well, very impressed by him.”
