First Miley Cyrus was a victim and now Ashton Kutcher has been involved in a home invasion prank known as 'swatting'. Police were reportedly called to the actor's home after an emergency call stated that the house was under attack, but law enforcement turned up to find no-one there.
Cops rushed to the actor's California home yesterday (October 3) after receiving a teletext message, which is commonly used by a person who is deaf, claiming that the alleged female victim was in trouble and had locked herself in a bathroom after she heard three shots fired.
According to TMZ the woman also claimed that 'people were either injured or dead'.
Upon arrival the LAPD officers found three men, who were arrested on site, but later turned out to be workers who are in the process of renovating the Two And A Half Men star's house.
There was no sign of the female 'victim' or any other suspect figures and police are now "aggressively" searching for the culprit.
Singer Miley Cyrus, 19, was the subject of the same prank in August when the Los Angeles Police Department turned up to the star's home to find no disturbance.
34-year old Ashton was not home at the time of the call and reassured fans that he was fine via Twitter. He tweeted: '[Sic] Safe an sound at two and a half men. Don't miss tomorrow night 8:30'.
