X Factor Tulisa Vows To Stay Single Throughout Competition

Star believes it will help her with victory

She already thinks she has the strongest category within the competition, being the mentor of the girls Ella Henderson, Lucy Spraggan, Jade Ellis, and wildcard Amy Mottram. But now judge Tulisa believes keeping her status as single will help her with X Factor victory.

She hasn’t had the best of luck with relationships this year, to say the least. Following her split from N-Dubz band mate Fazer, the judge then had a brief fling with ex-Skins star Jack O’Connell before separating in June, and just a month later she faced her ex Justin Edwards in court after he leaked a sex tape of the pair.

Phew!

So the ‘Young’ star has called a time-out on relationships and decided to stick to being single in order to focus on her acts within the competition. The Sun has reported her saying:

“No man to stress about. I can just chill out and get on with my job.”

She admitted that having by having no man in her life she won’t be distracted. It also means she won’t have to keep checking on her man’s behaviour as she did with ex Fazer. Revealing that she used to check his phone regularly, she admits it’s not a habit that she going to give up anytime soon.

“Some guys will just have to accept it. It’s not a good thing that I’m like that, but it’s just my way.”

Her lack of trust in men stems from being a third, and the only female member, of group N-Dubz, blaming cousin Dappy and bandmate Fazer.

She said: “Imagine being told by Dappy and Fazer from the age of 11, ‘Don’t trust any man, they’re all dogs’.”
