Natalie Portman is reportedly being courted for the role of Jackie Kennedy in a new movie, specifically based around the First Lady after the assassination of her husband, much loved US President JFK.
The Oscar-winning actress hasn't reportedly signed on as of yet, according to Deadline, but is being sought by film makers to take on the part of the American Icon.
Previous stars to play her include Jacqueline Bisset, Jeanne Tripplehorn, Katie Holmes and Sarah Michelle Gellar.

Apparently director Darren Aronofsky was previously due to make the movie with then wife Rachel Weisz, but their split scuppered the plans, paving the way for Portman to take the part.
Nat will reportedly wait until the identity of the film's director is clear before deciding on whether to jump on board, although the glamourous star could be perfect for the role, having blossomed from young actress into bona fide Hollywood superstar.
