They are the biggest band on the planet with millions of adoring fans that follow their every move on and off stage and after being catapulted to international stardom in less than a year, but it seems the strain of fame is beginning to show in One Direction with predictions the band could soon split.
According to the Daily Star, the 1D lads, who are set to release their second album Take Me Home later this month, have been told to clear up their act and stop any wild behaviour that might jeopardise the band's squeaky clean image.
“One Direction are the biggest pop stars in the world right now and that’s a lot of pressure to cope with,” an insider told the newspaper.
“Everything they do is scrutinised and judged by the media and the public and the boys are finding it hard to cope."
Harry Styles' womanising hasn't gone down well with his management and late night partying “openly sleeping with fans, getting drunk or smoking in public” has been reportedly strictly forbidden.

“They are young lads who want to have fun,” the source explained. “But they’ve been placed under strict instructions by management not to do anything to harm their squeaky-clean image.”
According to celebrity blogger Perez Hilton the tight constraints on the teenage boys could tear the group apart with Zayn Malik, who recently admitted online abuse against his family and religion was hard to take, the first, he predicts, to leave.
He said: “I’ll probably get in trouble for saying this but they won’t have longevity.
“I wouldn’t be surprised if Zayn leaves first.”
The 19 year-old from Bradford said in a recent interview with Fabulous magazine he had struggled the most with fame.
“I love the fact that I'm in a band, but it's very hard because of the type of person I was before,” he confessed. “I was very reserved and just did my own thing.”
“I guess I've probably found it the most difficult out of the boys.”
But will he go?
