Lady Gaga has snubbed the chance to bury the hatchet with her pop rival Madonna.
The Queen of Pop invited Gaga to join her on stage at her Yankee Stadium gig in New York last month, but the Born This Way star declined the offer as she was too busy on her Born This Way Ball tour to spare the time.
Lady Gaga’s manager Vincent Herbert told the Sun: “Madonna called to ask Gaga to perform with her at Yankee Stadium.
“Her manager reached out to us and said Madonna would like Gaga to perform with her.”
But Herbert insists her decision to turn Madonna down had nothing to do with their long-running feud.
He added: “She really wished she could do it. She said, ‘If we do it, let's donate the money to charity.’ But Gaga's committed to her own tour.”
The singers’ relationship has been strained since Gaga released Born This Way and Madonna repeatedly compared it to her 1989 hit Express Yourself.
Despite this, Madonna told fans at her concert in Atlantic City: “I love her – imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.”
Oooh we hope Gaga and Madonna can bury the hatchet sometime soon. After all they’re both excellent in their own right!
Madonna still rocks at 54!
