TOWIE is finally back on our screens and it’s as sparkly as ever…and totally reem! The start of a new series means new gossip, relationship issues and arguments. Just what you would expect from our favourite Essex family.
Emotions seem to be at their peak, especially between Gemma and Arg. After their rocky relationship in the last series they seem to have finally hit rock bottom. Gemma’s doubts about Arg’s faithfulness has led her to get more and more paranoid - to the point of her spying whilst he has dinner with his friends. Little did we know this paranoia covered up the fact that she had been seeing Rami behind Arg’s back for three weeks, or two months – depends who you ask!
With all the drama of Gemma and Arg the power of love seems to be declining, but then they’re not the only power couples in Essex. With the new connection of the super cute Danni and Charlie, the ever-growing love of Tom and Lydia and the recent engagement of Lucy and Mario love is definitely still in the Essex air. These three couples seem to restore the hope in love for this Essex family, showing that not all relationships have to be filled with drama…for now.
Amongst all this love the major power couple of TOWIE has to be the lovely Joey and Sam. Their relationship has gone to the next step as they have decided to move in together, which has now been confirmed by their meeting with a psychic. Joey took Sam and Billie to a psychic meeting to see if they should definitely move in. Not only did he confirm that they should, he predicted the arrival of a little Essex baby to join them in their new home. This all seems quite mature for the couple, but don’t worry, Joey has not started to wear dull clothes instead he has a new trend – ski goggles! Why not, I suppose.
Romance aside, the biggest shock of this first episode was the return of one of the original cheeky Essex chaps, Kirk. After being away from the streets of Essex for quite a while, Kirk is back on our screens and where he belongs - with his lovely Dad, Mick. Let’s hope Kirk’s return lasts and we see him on our screens for a lot longer.
Not to ruin the TOWIE tradition, the episode ended with a dramatic tiff. Gemma confronted Mario after she found out he had met up with Rami recently and had been speaking about her. This confrontation turned into a full on argument between Gemma and Rami and Mario and Lucy - it was a battle of the couples. Poor Gemma can’t seem to get away from drama, can she? Let’s hope this doesn’t turn into another long-lasting grudge between the Essex clan!
