TOWIE lovers Lucy Mecklenburgh and Mario Falcone have hit out at ex-star Amy Childs, branding her “rude and disrespectful”.
Speaking ahead of the new series tonight (September 30), the Essex lovebirds took a swipe at the outspoken redhead after she said that bosses should axe them from the show.
Lucy was particularly incensed by Amy's bold comments. She told the Daily Star on Sunday:
“You know what makes me laugh about Amy is she slags off TOWIE all the time and says we should be axed.
“And then she hears there could be a movie and she says she’d love to do it.”
Sounds like Lucy's really let Amy get under her skin. She continued:
“She is so rude and disrespectful. She left so long ago and the show is doing so much better now. I don’t think she should have an opinion.”
Lucy’s fiance Mario couldn’t keep his nose out of things either. He backed up his fiancee's argument, saying:
“Amy’s problem is she forgets where she came from. She left TOWIE and she fell flat on her face.
“She said Lucy, Lauren, Chloe and I should be axed because we have run out of storylines, which is ironic seeing as her only storyline was sticking bits of plastic on people’s vaginas.”
Ouch! We quite liked the Vajazzle storyline, personally...
The Only Way Is Essex airs tonight at 10PM on ITV2.
