David Beckham maybe known as 'goldenballs' but he's not perfect, and despite allegations of affairs with Rebecca Loos and more recently Katherine Jenkins the star has claimed in a new interview, he has “no regrets”.
The footballer first burst onto the world stage as a young Manchester United player and soon attracted as much attention off the pitch as he did on it. But despite having to manage some controversy, including accusations of infidelity as well as being sued in 2008 by photographer Emicles da Mata who alleged David has assaulted him, the star claims he tries not to look back.
“I want to go through my life without any regrets,” he told Shortlist magazine.
“There’s moments that have been difficult, but I know there’s always a reason behind why it happens. So I have no regrets.”
The star cut short his European football career when he moved to Los Angeles to play for LA Galaxy in 2007 and admits, though settled on the Golden coast, he misses football in the UK.
“We’re very settled here,” David explained.
“We’ve been treated extremely well and we feel at home, but there are always things we miss about the UK – our family, our friends, going to football games every week.
“It’s something I did as a kid, but my boys haven’t experienced yet.”

Speaking as his status as a “national treasure” David added: "I think over the past five years I’ve gone into a more ambassadorial role with certain things.
“Being involved in getting the Olympics – it all started back then. And I’m just growing into it. It’s something I never thought I’d enjoy as much as I have done, but being an ambassador for your country, that’s something I’m very proud of. So it’s something that I’ve really started to enjoy over the past five years.”
Earlier this year David was forced to deny he was having an affair with Welsh songstress Katherine Jenkins after the blonde wrote about the affair, that no-one had heard of, on her Twitter page.
At the time his spokesperson told Entertainmentwise: "Unfortunately, we have to deal with this type of nonsense on Twitter. One minute David is dead, then more scurrilous rumours, there is not one jot of truth to any of it."
We don't regret anything he's done either, especially if he shows off that hod body! *Swoon*
