If Kim Kardashian was thinking of distancing herself from her family's empire, she may want to think again following the claims that her family would be left "devastated" if she turned her back on the empire.
Following the reports that Kim has become "secretly embarrassed" by how much her family are showing on their hit reality TV show, Keeping Up With The Kardashians now that she is in a romance with Kanye West, Heat magazine have now claimed that her family consider her to be the "linchpin" of the their empire and her decision to move away from them would be a "devastating blow".

An insider claimed to the publication: "Since becoming 'Kanye's girlfriend', Kim's life has completely changed. She's found that she's getting more respect than she did before, and more doors are opened for her.
"Kim is the Kardashian family linchpin. The whole empire is based around her, and it is her celebrity status that drives the brand. For her to turn her back on it would not only be a devastating blow to the family, but most of all to her mom Kris too."
Whilst there appears to be no sign of Kim taking a step back from her family just yet - she is filming a spin-off show with sister Kourtney in Miami now - MSN NZ reported Kim said that if and when she does have children, she won't be allowing it to be filmed and shown on the family's show.
She said: "I don't think I would do that, me personally. I don't think I would. Kourtney made it look so easy that it's gotta be tough for me. I just don't even want to see that back!
"I would definitely maybe videotape it for me and my husband or whatever just for us to have when the day comes. But ... I don't know. Maybe, but then again you never know — you could change your mind."
