Mumford & Sons Lead Midweek Chart With New Album 'Babel'

Mumford & Sons' recent show at this week's iTunes festival was praised by fans and music critics alike and now the band are on course to claim their first UK number one album with Babel.

The band's second studio set has sold nearly 90,000 copies so far this week, with Green Day's Uno! currently at number two.

The Killers new album Battle Born is down to three, with Pink's The Truth About Love at four and Britain's Got Talent stars Jonathan & Charlotte are at five with Together.

Elsewhere, on the singles chart Korean phenomenon Psy is on course to claim his first UK number one with dance craze 'Gangnam Style'.

The single is currently number one in the midweek chart by 6,000 copies, while The Script fall to two with 'Hall Of Fame'.

Flo Rida jumps to three with 'I Cry', while Taylor Swift's 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together' is at four and Ne-Yo is at five with 'Let Me Love You'.

DJ Fresh is at number 11 with 'The Feeling', while Paloma Faith is at 13 with her INXS cover Never Tear Us Apart.
