The track is the first to be taken from her forthcoming seventh studio album which is expected to be released in November.
'Diamonds' was written by Australian singer Sia, who has recently collaborated with Flo Rida and David Guetta.
The chorus of the track consists of: "So shine bright, tonight you and I/ We're like beautiful diamonds in the sky/ Eye to eye, so alive/ We're like beautiful diamonds in the sky."
Ahead of this first play, Ri has posted the artwork online (see below), which sees the star holding a rolling paper full of diamonds.
The Bajan star is known for her partying ways so the 'cigarette-inspired' cover seems rather fitting, doesn't it?
The singer spoke to Z-100 radio host Elvis Duran about the upcoming track, saying "The lyrics are very hopeful and positive, but it's about love and the gears are a little different from what people would expect."

She then added, "I'm excited to surprise them sonically. It's laid-back but it's hopeful. It's a record that... gives me such a great feeling when I listen to it."
Rihanna's next album will be her SEVENTH and 'Diamonds' will be the first single to be lifted off of the upcoming LP.
And in support of the eagerly-anticipated release, the singer is also going to embark on her 'Diamonds World Tour', which kicks off in Buffalo, NYC on March 8.
