Fans of the X Factor saw on Sunday night how talented hopeful Ella Henderson reduced judge Nicole Scherzinger to tears, and it appears that the 16 year-old had the same effect on the US star Cher who revealed on Twitter that she also shed a tear watching Ella perform.
Taking to the social networking site to show her support, Cher, whose 1998 track 'Believe' was Ella's choice of song to sing during the bootcamp stage, wrote:
"Work Done ...Went on Utube 2 c young girl sing Believe!Tears came 2 my eyes! So Touching! a Great version of a Great Song.WE Can Share It !
Reacting to Cher's comments about her performance which ultimately saw her go through to the judges house round, Ella commented: "I can’t believe the ACTUAL Cher is a fan!", before admitting that she smiled for the rest of the day after finding out.

She added: "I’m still pinching myself! To have the ACTUAL Cher tweet that she’d seen my performance was mind-blowing. I’ve been smiling all day. It is quite frankly UNBELIEVABLE! I can’t believe she cried."
The hopeful, who will be seen being mentored by Tulisa as the competition goes on, also revealed that she didn't know she had made Nicole sob with tears!
"I had no idea I made her cry. I was lost in my performance and totally unaware of my surroundings. I feel honoured that my performance touched her so much. I hope people are crying tears of happiness!", Ella confessed.
