Rumours are flying around surrounding the meaning behind the name of Robbie Williams' new daughtyer Theodore Rose - rumours which, according to sources, the singer has apparently been quick to deny.
Robbie Williams' new daughter Theodora Rose – known as Teddy – was born this week, causing fans to quickly speculate that she was named after former US president Theodore Roosevelt.
We admit that the names DO sound very similar, but what does Robbie have to say about it?
Well, according to sources at The Sun, Robbie has been ultra-quick to douse the flames of comparison between his first child with Ayda Field and the former president of the USA:
"We also wanted to choose a name that could be shortened so we could use the abbreviated name as her middle one — hence Theodora 'Teddy'."
"The Rose part is nothing to do with us viewing her as some future English rose. We just thought she looked like a lovely flower when we first saw her, so Rose it was."
Sounds pretty final to us. We guess we'll have to wait and see what Teddy's political alliegiances are...
