Lady Gaga found herself the subject of intense media coverage after she smoked pot on stage in Amsterdam. And now a Drug Treatment Centre has invited her to visit them in order that she witness the horrors of substance abuse firsthand...
Officials at Blenheim CDP, a London-based substance abuse charity, have accused Lady Gaga of trying to make substance abuse cool.
And, in a bid to help her understand the consequences of her actions, they have invited her on a tour of one of their medical units so she could see the effects of drug abuse, particularly that of marijuana usage.
John Jolly, chief executive of Blenheim CDP, explained that Mother Monster should have thought about the effects her actions would have had on her fans before lighting up that doobie:
“I think it’s always unhelpful when people in the public eye of a particular influence are seen engaging in drug use, particularly because cannabis use is a significant problem for people under 25 in the U.K.”
“The predominant drug we are dealing with in our treatment centers for people under 25 years old is cannabis so it’s particularly unhelpful when things like this happen.”
We wonder what Lady Gaga's response will be to their invitation?
