Looks like we might be getting some new Adele material sooner than we think, as Adele has confirmed she is singing the theme tune for new James Bond movie 'Skyfall'.

The London singer, who is heavily pregnant with her first child, has now been officially announced as the warbler of title song 'Skyfall', according to Total Film.

The last song to be released in support of the long-running franchise was 'Another Way To Die' by Jack White and Alicia Keys, recorded in support of 'Quantum Of Solace'. It was poorly received by critics and had only lukewarm success in the charts.

Adele's album 21 was released in January 2011 and has yet to exit the charts. It was the biggest-selling record of the year by some distance, and currently ranks second on the bestseller list of 2012 as well, behind Emeli Sande's Our Version Of Events.

'Skyfall', starring Daniel Craig as 007, is released in the UK on October 26.

Craig is joined by Dame Judi Dench, Javier Barden, Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris and Ben Whishaw.

We love Adele and think she's the perfect choice for the new James Bond theme tune but do you?

With the likes of One Direction taking over the music world do you think they could have done a better job? Vote now!
