Katie Holmes is allegedly determined to have a baby to give six year-old Suri Cruise a sibling and won't let her single status stop her, doing it “with or without a man”.
The actress has transformed her life since splitting with Tom Cruise in June this year, but despite the challenges of being a single mum, managing her fashion line and taking on new acting projects the 33 year-old reportedly wants another baby too.
A source told Now magazine the star is pretty determined to become a mum for a second time, even if she hasn't got a boyfriend.
“She has no plans to marry again, but she's always wanted more kids,” a source close to the star claimed.
According to the source, the brunette believes that a new brother or sister will help daughter Suri get through her parents split and with the Dawson's Creek star leaving the Church of Scientology and returning to her Catholic faith, it may aid the difficult transition.
They added: “She thinks having a child away from the influence of Scientology will help Suri.”

Katie, who has primary custody of Suri in the divorce agreement with her ex husband, accompanied the youngster to her first day of school earlier this week. Suri had previously been educated at home, but as part of Katie's effort to give her a more “normal” upbringing she has begun lessons at the exclusive Avenues private school in Manhattan.

The pair were seen out with the bundle of fur in New York a few weeks ago with Suri looking pretty pleased with the new pet.
