Even though Julianne Hough has been happily dating Ryan Seacrest for years, the actress confesses she almost passed him up.
"I was reluctant because he is such an influential guy, and what if it didn't work out?" the 24-year-old Hough tells InStlye in its Makeover 2012 cover story. "Our first date, I was so nervous that I just sat there and interviewed him with questions like, 'Are you loyal?' and 'Are you close to your family?' "
But a couple of years later, the couple – who met one another in 2007 when the American Idol and Dancing with the Stars sets were across the hall at the CBS studios in Los Angeles – are content in their love-filled relationship.
"When we do see each other, we are super excited and do these cute and romantic things," the Rock of Ages star gushed about her 37-year-old beau said. "I'm 20 lbs. heavier than I was when we started dating.”
Dating one of Hollywood’s most successful men who is worth an estimated $75 million – Seacrest is a former host for E! News, radio personality, CEO of his own production company Ryan Seacrest Productions, and is a co-partner of AXS Live – has spoiled Hough, but in a good way.
“And now we always have great wine, and I can tell the difference,” Hough explains. “So I told him, 'You ruined my life because I can't go to a friend's house and drink cheap wine anymore.' "
