A jury bought in for a £1 million heist trial were asked by the judge if they are pals with The Only Way Is Essex stars Sam or Billie Faiers.
The Evening Standard reports that Old Bailey judge Richard Hawthorne made the interesting inquiry before beginning proceedings at the gold and silver bullion theft trial.
He asked if any of the seven men and women had a "personal acquaintance or friendship" with the stars, adding: "You may recognise the names from the television show The Only Way Is Essex."
He added: "Watching the show does not disqualify you."
None of them said they were, and the trial will begin tomorrow morning.
Sam and Billie's stepfather David Chatwood is allegedly involved in the case.
TOWIE wrapped up its sixth season last month, and will return for a seventh before the end of the year.
Sam Faiers is currently dating her co-star Joey Essex.
